On 2 April, Complementa welcomed representatives from various institutional investors to a breakfast event in Zurich. The event focused on knowledge transfer and the exchange of experiences regarding gold investments.
Following an introduction by Andreas Rothacher (Head of Investment Research), John Reade (Market Strategist, World Gold Council) discussed the role of the precious metal in the portfolios of institutional investors with the guests. What factors influenced the performance of gold in recent years and what trends can be identified with regard to the extraction of raw materials, jewellery, technology, investments and central bank reserves? Thomas Breitenmoser (Head of Investment Consulting/Controlling) rounded off with the group discussion.
