Complementa AG has been supporting Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) with investment reporting services since 2006 and has become an important partner of the bank. ZKB took over Complementa with effect from 26 July 2024. The bank is thereby consolidating its significant position in the custody services area. At the same time, the takeover provides Complementa with a sustainable, long-term succession solution. This step will ensure the smooth continuation of our often long-standing client relationships. For our clients and employees, this solution stands for continuity and stability.
Nothing will change for Complementa’s clients. They will continue to be served directly by Complementa and the services will be provided by the same employees to the customary high standard of quality. The processes and contact persons will remain unchanged. There are no plans to cut jobs or transfer tasks to ZKB. Complementa will remain an independent company with its own brand image and will continue to operate IT systems separate from those of ZKB in the future.
Heinz B. Rothacher will relinquish his position as CEO, but continue to be represented on the Board of Directors. Markus Wirth, who is currently Head of Custody at ZKB, will become CEO of Complementa from September 2024. He will continue to manage the company together with the existing management team.
